I’m losing my vision slowly from all the blue light

I’d quit but

To pay for food and do

On my streaming service of choice
Eating Italian hoagies
Or buying corduroys

Dollars in the bank
Cash inside my hand
Trading currency for goods is getting pretty bland

Two paychecks a month
tons of bills as well
Dealing with monotony takes real skill

I wasn’t blessed with the gift of optimism
But i was innately designed to survive
As long as there’s something worth doing
That something is going to keep me alive
